Iti nguru pulkaringkunytja

NPY Women’s Council’s Ngangkari program have just released this great new poster to add to their growing collection of mental health literacy resources.

NPY poster child development_P_lowres

“A graphic poster mapping out stages of child development has been produced in Ngaanyatjarra (Pilyirrnguru Purlkarringkunytja) and Pitjantjatjara (Iti Nguru Pulkaringkunytja). The Uti Kulintjaku mental health literacy team has mapped out stages of child development from an Anangu perspective. Drawing on the cultural knowledge of senior Anangu women and Ngangkari, the process of making the poster allowed senior Indigenous women and traditional healers to share their knowledge of cultural practices for growing up strong, healthy children.”
